They say you’re the average of the people you spend the most time with, and I’ve come to believe there’s a lot of truth in that. If you want to feel happier and more energized, the simplest and most impactful step you can take is to surround yourself with happy and energetic people.
Think about how you feel after spending time with someone who radiates positivity and enthusiasm. Their energy is contagious, lifting your spirits and inspiring you to see the brighter side of life. On the other hand, being around negativity or constant complaints can weigh you down, draining your energy before you even realize it.
Your circle has a profound impact on your mindset, motivation, and overall well-being. This doesn’t mean you should avoid those going through hard times—compassion is important—but it does mean being intentional about where you invest your energy. Seek out people who uplift you, who laugh loudly, dream boldly, and remind you of what’s good in the world. Be that person for others, too.
Happiness is magnetic, and the more you cultivate it within your circle, the more it expands into every part of your life. Whether it’s a trusted friend, a group of inspiring colleagues, or a community that shares your passions, investing in positive connections is one of the best things you can do for your mental and emotional health.
Take stock of your circle today. Are you surrounded by people who inspire and energize you? If not, this is your sign to start seeking out those connections. Because when you surround yourself with joy, everything else feels lighter, brighter, and more possible.
Cheers to choosing happiness,
